I thought the second time through was much easier for this project. Now that we had experienced the kinks that might come up throughout the reporting, writing, editing and publishing process, we were able to address those problems before they happened. I think it was helpful that we were more strict on deadlines this time, and almost everyone was prompt in turning in their stories before or on the deadline. Because the Web site was already created and formatted, it took less time to actually place all the articles into the Web site. My role in this exercise was writing the political story--which went quite smoothly since I talk to those sources everyday for my job--and editing stories one last time before they were put up on the site. I also was responsible for delegating work and checking in on reporters to make sure it was going smoothly. All-in-all, this was a good experience. It was fun to see what we all came up with and have a finished product that we could all see our contributions to.
